Designed to make planning work around utilities easier than ever, the new BYDA app lets users instantly lodge their free Before You Dig enquiries and access utility information directly from their mobile device. The BYDA app allows you to manage enquiries from end-to-end. This provides quick access to the essential tools and safety information you need to work safely.

What You Need to Know 

The new BYDA app will replace the existing BYDA app (now known as BYDA Classic). The BYDA Classic app will be retired in early 2026. To continue using the BYDA service and to access the latest features, users are encouraged to download the new BYDA app as soon as it becomes available in December 2025 via the Apple App Store and Google Play.  

As always, the BYDA service remains free to use and provides access to utility information from registered asset owners across Australia.
